What is digital citizenship?
Digital citizenship has three main components:
Respect – Digital Etiquette
Beyond “rules”, “procedures” and “policies” we want our young people to exhibit respectful and Christ-like behaviour online. Following the “THINK TEST” is an excellent way to start.

Equipping: An important goal in digital citizenship is to teach students to be be educated navigators online. We strive to teach them how to locate quality information and to consider the source when navigating online. This is the crux of digital literacy.

Discernment: Christ wants us to judge well in all that we do as Christians in the world. Part of this is knowing how to stay protected online – how to protect their information and themselves from anything that might seek to harm them. Discernment is mentioned in over 40 scriptures in the Bible…. for a reason. We can and should pray for discernment in all that we do.
